District 30's full-day Kindergarten Program is located at two schools:
Willowbrook School, 2500 Happy Hollow Road, Glenview, IL 60026
Wescott School, 1820 Western Avenue, Northbrook, IL 60062.
The State of Illinois requires that, if a school district offers full-day kindergarten, it must allow parents to enroll their child only half-time with no penalty for truancy. That being said, District 30's kindergarten curriculum will be delivered across the full day of instruction. In other words, the morning program will not contain the same curriculum as the afternoon. It is important, therefore, to understand that those students who attend a half-day will miss some of the curriculum
In order to be eligible for kindergarten, your child must have been born on or before September 1, 2021, as evidenced by an official birth certificate or passport. Copies of an official birth certificate can be obtained at the County Clerk's office in the county where your child was born. In Cook County, the certificate can be obtained from the County Clerk's Office, 188 North Clark, Chicago, Illinois 60602; or the Skokie Courthouse at 5600 Old Orchard Road in Skokie, Room 149, Ph. 847-470-7233. You will also need to prove residency.
